Parametric Compound > Add Freedom, Rotation (Library Menu)

This command can be used to add a "Rotation" freedom to a selected parametric compound.

 

1.Choose parametric compound

The parametric compound to be edited must be chosen. Click on an object to choose it.

 

2.Choose points

Choose the points that shall be part of the freedom. Click on points to choose them.

 

3.Enter reference point

The reference point of the freedom can be entered by clicking the mouse anywhere in the drawing.

 

4.Enter target point

The target point of the freedom can be entered by clicking the mouse anywhere in the drawing.

 

After entering the two points, the "Edit Freedom" dialog appears, in which the parameters for the freedom are entered.

 

The following images show an exemplary compound with one freedom of type "rotation". Dark blue squares indicate the selected points, the light blue arrow runs from the reference point to the target point:
