Calculate > Centroid (Annotate Menu)

www.CAD6.com

This command can be used to calculate the centroids of several selected objects and insert them as markings.

1.Choose areal objects

The objects whose centroids are to be calculated have to be chosen. Click on objects to choose them.

After choosing the objects their centroids are calculated. Complex objects like Bézier curves and ellipses must first be converted to polylines. The precision of the conversion can be set using the command Drawing Settings > Precision, in the entry "Transform".

The markings are assigned to a layer, like every other object, which can be locked and/or blended out. Markings are not allocated to the current layer. Instead, the command Layers > Defaults is used to decide whether they should be assigned to the current layer, or another specified layer.
