Measure > Area / Perimeter (Annotate Menu)

This command can be used to determine the surface area and the perimeter of several selected objects.

The objects whose surfaces are to be determined and added together have to be chosen. Click on objects to choose them.

After choosing the objects, their surface areas and perimeters are calculated. Complex objects with Bézier curves and ellipse parts must first be converted to polylines. The precision of the conversion can be set using the command Drawing Settings > Precision, in the entry "Transform".

The surface area of objects of type "Surface" can only be calculated correctly if the outlines of the surface do not overlap each other!

Then, a dialog appears which shows both the total area and perimeter.

If you choose objects that are open, i.e. do not have any surface, they will only be used for the perimeter calculation.
