Map Model to Page > Convert Mapping to Clipping (Manage Menu) |
www.CAD6.com |
Use this command to convert an existing mapping into a clipping, making in independent from the Model Space's contents.
The resulting clipping object may become rather huge because it contains a copy of all its (possibly) visible Model Space elements.
In mappings, individual layers can be assigned an explicit color. This is not possible in clippings. So if a mapping that uses such explicit color specifications is converted to a clipping, color discrepancies will occur. The same applies to texts where the option "Adapt rotation to active mapping or page" or "Apply scaling of Model Space or page" is set. Here, too, deviations are inevitable.
