Construction Aid Beam > Perpendicular (Construct Menu) |
www.CAD6.com |
This command draws a Construction Aid beam which is perpendicular to a line, circle, or ellipse of any type. This Construction Aid beam is drawn so that it appears as a right angle in the current view.
Any part of an existing object can be used as a reference object. This can be a rectangle side, the arc of an ellipse segment or a circle arc within a surface.
The identified object is referred to as the "Reference Object". After identification, a straight line showing the line of the perpendicular appears. This is referred to as the "Reference Straight Line"
The position of the perpendicular and the direction of the Construction Aid beam are determined by a reference point through which the reference straight line should run. This reference point can be entered by clicking the mouse at any point within the drawing.
