Print > Section, Polygon (File Menu)

www.CAD6.com

This command is used to print a polygonal section of a drawing. Any output device for which a driver is installed can be used.

1.Enter start point

The start point of the polygon can be entered by clicking the mouse anywhere in the drawing.

2.Enter point

After entering the start point, more points can be entered. The polygon begins at the start point, runs through all the subsequently-entered points and ends at the start point. These points can be entered by clicking the mouse anywhere in the drawing.

Once all desired points have been entered (at least 3), press the right mouse button to finish the command. If the Workflow Manager is active and appears, choose Finish Command in it.

The polygon can have up to 100 segments. If this limit is reached during entry, then further point entry is not allowed.

After entering the polygon, the "Print Drawing" dialog is called, in which the print settings can be specified.

If only certain objects of the section are to be printed, they must be selected before choosing this command, using for example the command Extra > Permanent Selection > Set. The "Selection Only" check box can then be enabled.

The output of partially opaque lines and surfaces can only be guaranteed when using DirectPDF or CAD6PDF. Normal Windows printer drivers and PDF creators only deliver more or less suitable approximations. If you plan on using such objects, please test in time if the result delivered by your desired driver suits your needs. If you use an HPGL-Plotter, please use the HP-GL/2 export filter for plotter output!
