Data Exchange > STL Import (3D Menu)

This command can be used to import 3D parts from STL files.

Clicking the "Options" button displays the "STL Import" dialog in which you can set the import options.

After selecting the STL file in the file selection dialog, the components will be loaded from the STL file. For each SOLID, a separate component will be created.

The STL format is a simple exchange format for 3D data. It only features (usually) colorless solids consisting of triangles in 3D space. Almost any 3D system supports this format.
