3D Mappings (3D Introduction)

www.CAD6.com

3D mappings allow you to map one 3D space as a whole into the 2D world at a time, with each mapping showing a different view. The view within a mapping is independent of the current view of the 3D space, so it does not change when you change the view in 3D space using orbit or axis rotation.

For example, you can easily create multiple fixed, individual views of your model that adapt to any change in the 3D model, either automatically or on demand, and thus always have a perfect overview of the position of all parts in space.

That could look like this:

A 3D mapping behaves like a 2D object, so it can be moved, rotated, scaled, and duplicated using standard 2D commands. They will, however, keep on recognizing any change in the 3D world. For each mapping, you can determine whether it shall be renewed automatically or only on request.

Use 3D > Map 3D Space to 2D > Unlimited to create 3D mappings.
