3D Coordinate Entry (Methods) |
www.CAD6.com |
Many commands of the 3D plug-in allow direct entry of numerical values such as coordinates, lengths, angles, and factors in 3D space.
All these entries happen in a simple dialog the contains the input fields for the according values and, in most cases, a small preview area that shows either the X/Y/Z axes or specific vectors, depending on the current case of use:
How can I access information on this dialog?
The preview illustrates the orientation of the axes or the direction of the length and angle values. For angle values, please use the "right hand rule": Point the thumb of your right hand's fist into the positive axis' direction, and your fingers will point into the positive rotation direction.
During value input, you can use all possibilities that are also available during normal Coordinate Entry (F8).
