Preface (CAM Introduction)

www.CAD6.com

This introduction is intended to give you an idea of how to create professional NC programs with CAD6industrie. In addition to the output of contours including cutter correction, it is shown how you can generate simple drilling cycles as well as complex milling and turning cycles for different machine controls. Many manufacturers develop machine controls that are optimized for manual programming by the user. This means that these manufacturers focus on people as the bearers of knowledge. That's exactly what we do!

With CAD6industrie you can transfer your practical programming experience to a graphic input system and at the same time fully exploit the potential of machine control.

The proven programming is not replaced, but supported, for example, in that very complex milling contours or extensive drilling patterns can be entered graphically. You can then load the NC program created with CAD6industrie on the control panel of your machine control or open it in your programming station software, check it and change it if necessary. The contour is entered graphically with the help of supporting construction commands. These contours can then be further processed directly with linking commands (union, intersection or difference).

Drilling, milling and turning cycles as well as SL cycles with contour subprograms can be positioned as graphic blocks. These blocks (cycles) can then be conveniently duplicated and arranged (e.g. to drill patterns) using multiple copy functions. During the export, the postprocessor copies the NC commands from so-called cycle attributes, which belong to the respective block, into the NC file. You could also say that the blocks contain subprograms that are inserted into the NC file for each individual block in the drawing.

But CAD6industrie also offers the necessary prerequisites for applications that usually do not require manual programming, such as output on laser/water jet cutters or large-format cutting plotters: In the tool list, you can manage all tools centrally and edit their parameters. The data can then be sent directly to the cutting plotter, for example with the postprocessor "ZÜND HP-GL" (other postprocessors based on HP-GL are also supplied), postprocessing is not necessary. In addition, with CAD6industrie you can also control any XY production machines and address flexible tool heads. For example, tasks in the areas of positioning, marking, gluing, equipping, etc. can be mastered.

You can create your own postprocessors!

If you want to create your own postprocessors, open the "Universal DIN-ISO" postprocessor and read the comments in the control texts. It's a good idea to use this post processor as a starting point and explore how it works by modifying the control texts. The chapters Operating Mode of Control Texts and Variables for Control Texts are also helpful for this.

Let us help you!

The optimal configuration of the postprocessor for your machine, the application-oriented setup of the tool list and the associated definition of sensible specifications for layers/pens and specific CAM blocks (for drilling cycles etc.) are crucial and at the same time quite demanding processes. We therefore strongly recommend booking an on-site training session in such a case. You can then use CAD6industrie productively immediately. Call us (+49 531 400 137) if you want to know more!

Live Support for CAD6

With Live Support, you can follow what the consultant is doing on your screen in real time. In this way, the consultant can also answer specific questions about working with CAD6 through a simple demonstration - without complicated explanations. In the course of such a live support session, it is also possible to change the viewing direction, i.e. you show the consultant your screen. In addition, you can even allow the consultant to control your computer remotely using a mouse and keyboard. In this way, problems that are difficult to describe can be solved in the shortest possible time.
